Indianapolis council member, Ron Gibson, reported that over a dozen bullets were fired at his home and a handwritten note reading "No Data Centers" was left on his doorstep. Gibson and his 8-year-old son were not physically harmed but disturbed by the sound of gunfire. The FBI and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security are investigating the incident. Gibson represents a district where a data center built by developer Metrobloks is set to be rezoned. The rezoning was approved amid rising nationwide opposition to data centers, which have led to increased resource consumption and increased utility costs.
