Congressman Wesley Bell has introduced the "Building Reentry and Inclusive Development for Greater Employment" (BRIDGE) Act, which aims to strengthen the workforce and provide pathways to economic mobility and employment for justice-impacted individuals. The bill also supports youths seeking employment, which has long faced significant barriers to entering the workforce. The Act will extend eligibility under the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) to previously excluded groups, including individuals with a criminal record or institutionalized for at least 90 days.
