The family of Latetia Bobo, a Richmond schoolteacher killed in a mass shooting at a nightclub in downtown Oakland, has called on city leaders to implement "sustainable change" to prevent future tragedies like this. The shooting, which left seven people dead and five injured, occurred on March 7 at the EZ Lounge on 14th Street. The victim's brother-in-law, Keith Norman, stated that Bobo dedicated her life to uplifting others and they are committed to carrying this mission forward. No arrests have been made in the shooting, and a motive for the shooting remains unclear. The family's statements came a day after hundreds gathered at two Richmond churches to remember Bobo.
