Actor Kit Connor, who plays Nick Nelson in the Netflix teen drama Heartstopper, has undergone a major transformation since leaving Hollywood eight years ago. The actor, who grew out his beard and long hair, revealed his transformation in a since-deleted Instagram Story photo with his costars Joe Locke and Tobie Donovan. He said he was inspired to change his look after receiving feedback from Heartstoppers fans about his portrayal of Nick, who is depicted as a buff man in the Alice Oseman graphic novels of the same name. However, Kit also faced criticism for coming out as bisexual after being accused of queerbaiting while promoting the series. Despite this criticism, Kit remains committed to embracing his character and is expected to reprise his role as Nick one last time in an upcoming conclusion film for the series, Dune: Part Three.
