The Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) has increased its offer to the 110-member staff union, which has been on strike since mid-February. The latest offer, which includes $800,000 in additional wages in the first year, has been rejected by the staff union. If no deal is reached, the union could demonstrate outside the bargaining session on Monday, forcing the WGA Negotiating Committee to cross a picket line. The WGAW executive director, Ellen Stutzman, stated that the union had rejected the latest offer. The union has been campaigning for a better wage scale and job protections, with most of the represented workers earning less than $84,000 a year.
