Former BYU receiver Parker Kingston's attorney, Cara Tangaro, has claimed that the alleged rape victim's account of what happened appears to mirror that of former teammate Jake Retzlaff, comparing it to a news report about the now-dismissed sexual assault civil case against him. The victim, identified in court documents as A.M., met with Kingston and the alleged victim in January 2025 through February 2025, before Washington County prosecutors charged him with first-degree felony rape on Feb. 10, 2026. Kingston was arrested last month and initially held in jail, but later released on bail and ordered to wear a GPS ankle monitor for at least 60 days. The case against Retzaff was dismissed at a judge's request a month later. The new court filing argues that Kingston should be released from his ankle monitor.
