U.S. Rep. Susie Lee has called for federal action against organized retail crime, which she alleges is costing Nevada millions and threatening public safety. The Combating Organized Retail Crime Act would designate organized retail crimes as a federal offense and establish a coordination center within Homeland Security Investigations to support multi-state investigations. The bill is unanimously supported by the House Judiciary Committee.
