Mastercard has acquired stablecoin infrastructure firm BVNK for up to $1.8 billion, expanding its support for digital assets globally. The acquisition will enable the financial platform for stablecoin transactions in 130 countries. AgentKit, which allows AI agents to prove they represent unique humans online, was also mentioned as a key feature in on-chain governance for major DAOs. The move comes as attempts by Sam Bankman-Fried to secure a pardon from President Trump have been rejected by both parties.
