The $1,500-a-head luxury restaurant, Noma LA, has experienced a surge in diners fleeing after celebrity chef and founder, René Redzepi, resigned amid allegations of abuse against staff. The restaurant, which was fully booked, had open reservations on the Resy app and no reservations available on Tock, where the restaurant hosts its waitlist. The allegations stem from former employees alleging RedzEPi physically, psychologically and verbally abused staff. Noma announced an "independent audit" to ensure safety and the safety of its workplace. The 16-week Los Angeles residency, set to end on June 26, was disrupted by the scandal.
