A report by MarketBeat has identified the most sought-after shopping districts in the United States, with the historic Old Town Alexandria area leading the list. The top spot went to Chicago's Magnificent Mile, with 13 blocks of Michigan Avenue packed with flagship stores, vertical malls, and luxury boutiques. Other notable shopping experiences include Pike Street in Seattle, SoHo and Fifth Avenue in New York City. The poll also revealed that Richmond's Carytown is a mile-long stretch of shops, vintage stores, and independent boutiques with serious neighborhood character.
