Three mid-major stars who could hear their name called at the 2026 WNBA Draft

Mia Nicastro, a guard from Western Illinois, is one of three mid-major players expected to be selected at the 2026 WNBA Draft. She is currently competing at the Women’s College All-Star Game at Grand Canyon University. The game, held between the Final Four and national championship in the host city, is a showcase for players hoping to get picked in the WNBA. Since 2016, three midmajor products have been selected in the first round, including Princeton's Bella Alarie, USF's Kitija Laksa, and Florida Gulf Coast's Kierstan Bell. However, this year, there are now more teams, picks and roster spots than before, increasing the chances of mid-minor players getting selected and finding long-term homes in the league.
