Suspect arrested after multi-agency chase through Newton County into Orange County

A man who led law enforcement on a lengthy pursuit through Newton County into Orange County, Texas, has been taken into custody. The suspect allegedly evaded capture by turning southbound onto State Highway 87 from Bleakwood and traveling southbound on the same route onto IH-10. The Texas Department of Public Safety is the lead investigating the incident.
