Restored Plymouth Chrysler Tower lights up again, drawing visitors to Bristow on Route 66
Published on April 12, 2026.
The Plymouth Chrysler Tower in Bristow, Oklahoma, has been restored following a multiyear restoration that supporters believe could bring new attention and tourism to the Route 66 community. The restoration, which took years and cost over $1 million, was funded through private donations and a state grant. The tower, which was first built in the 1940s, once stood more than 100 feet tall and was taller than Tulsa’s Golden Driller. The revival is also attracting visitors from outside Oklahoma. With the upcoming Route 66 centennial approaching, city leaders expect the restored landmark to attract more tourists and local businesses.
