Audi will replace Jonathan Wheatley as principal of the Formula One team after his unexpected departure, according to head of the German carmaker's F1 project, Mattia Binotto. Wheatley, who has been linked to Aston Martin, had previously stated he could not commit long-term to the team for private reasons. Binotto stated that his main focus will be on transforming the team at the factory base where they need to develop the car and the powertrain.
