St. John's Red Storm team is aiming for a long March Madness run under coach Rick Pitino, who has been to the Sweet 16 a remarkable 13 times. The team is set to face No. 5 seed St. John’s against No. 12 seed Northern Iowa in the East Region. If they win, they could potentially face Kansas in the second-round, potentially facing them in the next round. Pitino has been coaching St John's since 1999 and has been building a team that is more dangerous in March than it is in November and December. This team has won 19 of its past 20 games and has won the conference championship in the past 20.
