Apple TV+ will finally release "The Savant," a TV show starring Jessica Chastain and executive producing it, following a delay in the release following the Charlie Kirk assassination of Conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk. The show, which is about an undercover operative who infiltrates online hate groups to prevent domestic terrorism before it happens, was fully produced and was set to air on Apple TV Plus. However, it was later pulled from its schedule due to an actual politically motivated attack. Chastastain publicly supported the decision to delay the release, stating she was not aligned with the studio's decision. The series was inspired by a Cosmopolitan article about an anonymous Anti-Defamation League investigator who spent years tracking extremists online. Despite this, Apple did not want to risk liability and kept the show about radicalization while discussing a real-world event. The Savant is set to be released by Apple in April 2026.
