Avengers: Endgame, five years after its debut, is set to undergo a re-release featuring new footage from Avengers: Doomsday. Co-director Joe Russo stated that the re-launch was a "critical companion story" and a unique opportunity to bridge the story of Doomsday to Endgame. The film will be re-released on September 25, almost three months before the anticipated MCU crossover event.
