The documentary, which will be released soon, will explore her life and career, which was influenced by success and fame. Duffy, who rose to fame with her debut album in 2008, revealed in a post in 2020 that an unknown perpetrator had drugged, abducted, raped, and held her captive for nearly a decade. She spent almost 10 years alone after the assault and shared her story to help others who have suffered the same. The filmmaker, Gill Callan, is drawn to Duffy's vulnerability and self-determination.
