A new poll by Reuters/Ipsos has found that 87 percent of Americans believe that gas prices will increase over the next month, with only 11 percent of respondents believing they will not increase. This sentiment is held across party lines, with most Republicans, Democrats, and independents believing gas prices to rise. The poll also found that 55 percent say the Middle East conflict’s impact on gas prices has also impacted their other finances. Nearly a quarter of Republican respondents said they did not expect gas prices would increase, while nearly half said they were only slightly impacted by the price hike. The national average for gas rose by 3 cents from Thursday to $3.91 as of Friday.
