The Public Interest Research Research Group (PIRG) Education Fund has released a report on laptop and smartphone repairability, giving Apple the lowest grade in the study. The study compared the French repairability index, which must be displayed on products sold in France, was used to measure device's ability to disassemble and availability of spare parts. PIRG believes that vendors should apply these requirements to devices sold in other geographies.
