Cole Allen, a suspected White House Correspondents' Dinner gunman, has admitted to targeting Trump administration officials when he attempted to storm past Secret Service agents and into the packed ballroom, according to a report. The 31-year-old California teacher, who was identified as the suspected gunman, told police he was targeting “administration officials” at the press gala at the Washington Hilton hotel, but did not specify who he was seeking or if President Trump was included. The shooting occurred just after 8:30 p.m. The gunman was subdued by the Secret Service and has been charged with using a firearm during a crime of violence and assault of a federal officer. A Secret Service agent was shot in the vest during the gunfire.
