Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Michael Leiter, has called for the Iranian people to join forces to overthrow the Islamic Republic regime. He stated that the U.S.-Israeli war will only begin when there is no significant threat in Tehran. Leiter also noted that Iranian forces have killed at least 6,488 protesters, at least 236 children and at least 76 civilians who were not protesting. The conflict escalated after Israel attacked a nuclear enrichment site in Natanz, Iran, and Tehran retaliated by launching missiles at the Israeli cities of Arad and Dimona. Since the first strikes against Iran on Feb. 28, nearly 1,400 Iranian civilians have been killed.
