Right-wing candidate Keiko Fujimori leads the polls ahead of Peru's presidential election, according to three polls released a week before the election. Since no candidate is expected to win more than 50% of the vote, a runoff election is expected on June 7. Since then, 16.8% of voters remain undecided, down from 23.9% previously, a Datum International poll found. Fujimor, daughter of late president Alberto Fujimotti, leads with 14.5% according to the poll, up from a prior 13%. Carlos Alvarez, former comedian Carlos Alvarez and former Lima mayor Rafael Lopez Aliaga have also moved up to second place. Other candidates polling in the single digits include centrist sociologist Jorge Nieto, Ricardo Belmont, leftist lawmaker Roberto Sanchez, and former central bank director Alfonso Lopez Chau.
