Meta is ending its virtual reality social network, Horizon Worlds, in a move further away from the metaverse and will remove the app from the Quest store at the end of March and fully remove it from VR on June 15. This move comes after the company cut over 1,000 employees from Reality Labs, the unit responsible for the metaversion. The company plans to separate the two platforms so each can grow with greater focus.
