Historic Brooklyn mosque smeared with unknown substance in possible hate crime

The unidentified man is being investigated for smashing an "unknown substance" onto the door of a historic Brooklyn mosque, the Islamic Mission of America Daoud Mosque. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on March 9, with no injuries reported. The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident.
