Ole Miss has never trailed in the Southeastern Conference tournament, reaching the semifinals after defeating second-seeded Alabama 80-79. The Rebels' AJ Storr and Ilias Kamardine scored 17 points, while Malik ‘Dia added 14 points and Patton Pinkins added 13 for the team. This marked their second consecutive close call since losing all but two points of a 23-point lead in a 76-72 second-round win over Georgia. Labaron Philon Jr. scored 28 points and made five 3-pointers for the No. 15 Crimson Tide, who had previously won nine of 10. The team's only path to the NCAA Tournament is to win the SEC tourney for the first time since 2013.
