The weekend includes the Basile Opera Center Music Fest in Indianapolis, offering free live music, dance classes, and hands-on arts experiences in the historic Meridian-Kessler neighborhood. The event aims to highlight local arts organizations and offer low-cost experiences for residents. Highlights include a children's opera with resident artists of the Indianapolis Opera, Bollywood and West African dance classes and string performances featuring local students. Other events include a performance showcase from 2-5pm Sunday. The Indianapolis Zoo's Spring Festival is open at the zoo, with admission at $36 for adults, $33 for kids and $34 for seniors. The 500 Festival 10-Miler race starts and ends at Fowling Warehouse Indianapolis, with registration starting at $40. Other notable events include the Indianapolis Indians' game against the Louisville Bats, the Indiana Pacers' two games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and a two-hour walking tour of Indy's electric rail system.
