Rapper Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, has revealed his name has been changed to JAŸ-Z on the billing for the upcoming Roots Picnic in Philadelphia concert on May 30. The change was part of a personal effort to stay in touch with his roots. Jay (aka Jay) also tweaked his stage name on major music streaming platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal to include the diacritical mark. This isn't the first time Jay has changed his name. He previously dropped the hyphen from his name in 2013, but reintroduced it in time for his 2017 album 4:44. Other celebrities have also adopted different aliases, including Post Malone, Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning.
