India knocks disparaging post shared by Trump

A recent post by President Trump referred to India as a "hellhole" was widely condemned by Indian officials. The post was shared alongside a transcript from a talk radio show by conservative commentator Michael Savage, who was railing against the constitutional right to birthright citizenship. The main opposition party in India called the remark "extremely insulting and anti-India" and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make a strong objection directly to Trump. The issue of the 14th Amendment, which grants citizenship to anyone born or naturalized on U.S. soil, is now before the Supreme Court.
