Ben Saraf, a 19-year-old rookie from the Nets, is gaining his minutes and learning what comes with them. Despite a disappointing loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, Saraf managed to score a career-high 15 points in just over 23 minutes off the bench. His performance has been encouraging for the team, particularly as Egor Dëmin, Drake Powell, Danny Wolf and Nolan Traoré have played in 52, 51, 54 and 45 games. Saraf's minutes have become meaningful again, and he's seen gradual improvement since February 27. He is averaging 5.8 points, 1.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 38% from the field and 22% from 3-point range. Coach Fernández has emphasized the need for off-ball defense and play off two balls instead of one.
