High winds and storms have caused significant damage and power outages in Lawrence County. The storm entered the county about 2:30 p.m. and reportedly damaged areas in neighboring Wayne County. Local storm spotters reported damage to building siding in the Ethridge community. The damage is believed to have been caused by straight-out winds.
