A consensus is being reached at a summit meeting in the House of Representatives, where representatives from the government, private sector officials, including Rep. Víctor Parés Otero, consumer affairs secretary, the Puerto Rico Energy Bureau chairman, and the Bankers Association president discussed the impact of events in the Middle East on the price of fuel. The meeting also highlighted the potential for a rewards program that allows consumers to purchase gasoline at a reduced price if they pay in cash. This could result in significant relief at the pump. Currently, the average price of regular gasoline is $1.049 per liter.
