The statement comes one day after D3vd was announced a sweeping set of charges related to the murder of Rivas, including first-degree murder and sexual offenses involving a minor and mutilation of human remains. The Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman stated that the murder was committed for financial gain and was for the sake of his lucrative musical career. If convicted, D4VD could face the death penalty.
