Politico has removed a controversial cartoon by independent cartoonist Sean Delonas from its gallery, "Ship of Neocons," which depicts a blood-soaked President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on a ship with them on a rickety ship. The cartoon, titled "Amalek," was published by the outlet, which is owned by the German media group Axel Springer, and was taken down over accusations of antisemitism. Critics accused the cartoon of trafficking in antisemitic tropes by exaggerating Netanyahu's nose and using Jewish symbols to suggest that the Jews have been manipulating events to push the Iran war. The magazine removed the cartoon after reading comments from readers that it did not meet Politico's standards.
