The Detroit Tigers have traded superstar pitcher Tarik Skubal to the Los Angeles Dodgers for three prospects, according to reports. The Tigers are reportedly receiving Zyhir Hope, River Ryan, and Brady Smith in the deal. Ryan and Smith, both right-handed pitchers, are ranked as a top 100 prospect and Smith is ranked No. 17 in the Dodgers farm system. This trade ends a disappointing end to a successful season for the Tigers, who were expected to win the American League Central Division this year but lost a 14-game lead over the Guardians at the end of 2025. Despite a poor 6-22 record in May, the Tigers' starting rotation remains promising.
