London Labour activists charged amid alleged vote rigging claims

Four Labour activists have been charged by the police in relation to allegations that a party database was manipulated to aid in candidate selection. One of the accused is Joel Bodmer, who stood as Labour's candidate for the Croydon East constituency. The process was abandoned in November 2023 and rerun four months later. The other three are charged with conspiracy to commit an offence under the Criminal Law Act and the Computer Misuse Act.
