Former track star, Abby Steiner, is suing Puma for product liability, claiming the company's shoes caused injuries that prematurely ended her professional career. The lawsuit also names Mercedes' Formula 1 team as a defendant. Steiner is a two-time world champion, a four-time NCAA national champion and holds the U.S. indoor record for the 200m and 300m sprints. The suit alleges that after signing with Puma, Steiner suffered numerous foot injuries and failed to make the Olympics team in 2024.
