Colorado Avalanche coach, Jared Bednar, has been rewarded for his patience with goalkeeper Scott Wedgewood, despite a poor performance in Game 2 against the Wild. This follows a period of disarray in the Wild, where they are currently trailing 2-0 in the series. Both teams used two goalkeepers throughout the regular season, with Wedewood starting 43 games for Colorado and starting in 49 for Minnesota. Despite a poor Game 1 performance, both teams had an opportunity to make a change after the anarchy of a 9-6 Game 1. However, Wild coach John Hynes decided to stick with Wedgewwood, stating that he felt it was the right call to give him an opportunity and reward him. This decision could potentially lead to another change in net for the team, or for the third-year-old Gustavsson, who has shown confidence in his performance.
