U.S. investors increased purchases of equity funds in the week leading up to April 8, largely due to hopes of a two-week Middle East ceasefire. Investors acquired a net $9.76 billion, an 80% increase from the previous week's $5.42 billion purchases. Investors also bought sectoral funds totalling $2.84 billion, marking the first weekly net inflow in three weeks. Bond funds also saw significant influx.
