Chelsea secured a 4-3 victory over Aston Villa in a Women's Super League match at Kingsmeadow, London, on Sunday, keeping their hopes of a seventh consecutive WSL title alive. The win moves Chelsea up to second place on 40 points, nine behind leaders Manchester City. Despite a late goal from Sjoeke Nuesken, Chelsea's chances for the title are slim. The team's defensive issues were exposed as Aston Villa managed to level the score at 3-2, but Chelsea's late goal secured the win.
