Marcia Lucas, the editor of iconic '70s films such as "Star Wars," has died at the age of 80 after a battle with metastatic cancer. Lucasfilm has released a statement expressing its "deeply saddened" sadness over the death of Lucasfilm's former wife, Marcia Lucas. She was one of only three editors to share an Oscar for editing "star Wars: A New Hope" and was also one of three to contribute to other Lucasfilm productions. Her family also expressed their appreciation for her work, praising her ability to bring heart, momentum, and clarity to the screen.
