Palworld, a series capable of spinning into bizarre directions, has been discussed by its developers, Pocketpair, at the Game Developers Conference. The developers would be willing to hand the IP over to the right studio for a spin-off, unless it was a Balatro or Clair Obscur-like. However, Buckley cautioned that the base game is too slapstick for serious content. He also suggested that a pixel art game of some sort could be better suited to Palworld, and a fighting game might also be funny.
