The National Organization of Legal Services Workers (NOLSW), the union representing SAG-AFTRA, is attempting to unionize with around 16 members of the staff. This comes amid ongoing negotiations with the Writers Guild of America West (WGA), which has been interrupted by a staff strike. The majority of the staffers have signed union authorization cards and are seeking voluntary recognition from their employer rather than an election at the National Labor Relations Board. The announcement comes as SAG takes a break from negotiations with studios and streamers over its next three-year film and television deal.
