The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has promised to continue pursuing bad actors involved in cryptocurrency-related crimes without stifling innovation. The announcement came at a Las Vegas Strip conference, where acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel addressed the gathering via videoconference. The three-day conference is set to run through Wednesday and will feature speakers including Eric Trump, the president’s son, and Jack Dorsey, the chairman of the financial technology service Block. Blanche replaced former Attorney General Pam Bondi after she was ousted earlier this month. The event took place two days after an alleged gunman attempted to storm the White House Correspondents’ Dinner attended by President Donald Trump.
