GWAR performed a 90-minute, 17-song set at the House of Blues, with lead singer Michael Bishop aka Blöthar the Berserker leading the charge. The band, known for their theatrical shock rock approach, followed the trials and tribulations of the mythical alien mastodon during their Gor-Gor Strikes Back Tour. The performance was largely influenced by their violent and vulgarity, while also incorporating social and political satire. During the set, an ICE agent was sliced in half head-to-toe, while former US State Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was targeted during “I’m in Love (with a Dead Dog). Each character was exposed to the audience as well as the audience, with some performing as though they were performing as if they were in costume.
