Jordan joins Artemis Accords, int'l principles for exploring Moon, Mars, space, NASA says

Jordan has joined the Artemis Accords, an international agreement covering peaceful and transparent exploration of the Moon, Mars, and beyond. The accords, co-led by the US's State Department and NASA, were initially signed in October 2020 and initially signed by Australia, Canada, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the UAE, the UK, and the US. Jordan became the 63rd signatory of the Artemisaccords, becoming the fourth country to join the accords in 2026, following Portugal, Oman, and Latvia. The Accords establish a "common political understanding regarding mutually beneficial practices in the exploration and use of outer space"
