The BBC has commissioned a six-part series, Opening Up, created and written by Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Amy Gledhill and RTS Award nominated writer Nic Sampson. The series will be made by Avalon for BBC iPlayer and BBC One, continuing a line of scripted series created by artists with Edinburgh Festival Fringe success. The show is set and filmed in and around Manchester and follows a relationship between Penny (Gledhill) and Rhys, a long-term couple who try to fix their sex life by sleeping with other people. The BBC has been supporting the project from the start and is looking forward to working with the cast and crew.
