Microsoft has been working on migrating all old Control Panel items from the Control Panel into the modern Settings app in Windows 11, more than a decade after its launch of Windows 8. March Rogers, partner director of design at Microsoft, explained that the company is doing this carefully due to the complexity involved in the process. Despite hints of the removal, Microsoft has maintained its focus on design in Windows and is working on improving the Settings interface and other aspects of the OS.
