Lieutenant Governor Sylvia Luke and lobbyist and businessman Tobi Solidum were given target letters by the Attorney General’s office in relation to a state criminal probe into a suspected pay-to-play deal involving Solidum, a businessman who made millions during the COVID-19 pandemic when he secured no-bid government contracts to quickly set up testing sites and a lab. The letters were emailed to Luke and Solidum and informed them that the attorney general's investigation had uncovered evidence of bribery. Despite announcing her retirement days ago, Luke remains working as the Lt. Gov. despite announcing she would not be seeking re-election. The state Attorney General's office has stated it is committed to thorough investigation and ethical obligations.
