Former Wisconsin Badgers star Hilary Knight played through a significant injury to win the women's hockey gold-medal game at the 2026 Olympics, scoring a game-winning goal and being placed on long-term injured reserve by her Professional Women's Hockey League team, the Seattle Torrent. This makes her the all-time top points scorer and goal scorer in Team USA Olympics history.
